Grand Sport Keeps 535 HP at the Rear
At the heart of the Corvette Grand Sport is a new 6.7-litre naturally aspirated LS6 V8 producing 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. It features a 13.0:1 compression ratio, the highest Chevrolet says it has used for a Corvette V8, plus a new continuously variable oil pump. Power is sent through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while rear-wheel drive keeps the Grand Sport focused on direct driver connection.
Grand Sport X Sends Power Forward Too
The Corvette Grand Sport X takes that same V8 formula and electrifies the front axle. Its Electric Drive Unit helps produce 721 combined horsepower, while sending 145 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. A 1.9-kWh lithium-ion battery supports the system, creating an eAWD configuration designed to add control and responsiveness. It gives drivers another interpretation of Grand Sport performance without replacing the naturally aspirated V8 at its core.
Magnetic Ride Control Reads the Road
Both models feature Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0, helping the suspension respond to changing conditions. Wide-body aerodynamics, an integrated rear spoiler, large side air inlets and forged aluminum wheels further support stability and handling.
